Cornerstone – Spreading the Benefits of Family Wellbeing to More Adoptive Families and Working Families Everywhere
Our pioneering work to bring a more attuned and reflective approach to parenting children with trauma has now been shown to achieve real results and improve child-parent relationships, reduce tension and thereby improve family wellbeing.
With this evidence firmly established, we are now developing a range of tailored support packages and training applicable to all parents.
The techniques and insights we use to build bonds between families with our restorative parenting programme really work and offer parents an alternative to naughty steps, time out and other punitive behaviour management approaches which can drive a wedge between parents and children.
Training programmes will be available to all parents wanting to learn more about how to apply a relationship driven approach to their children as well as packages for businesses wanting to support their employees with children to enhance wellbeing, retention and productivity.
For adoptive families, we are about to embark on exciting plans to spread the programme across the UK keeping true to our model of end users being part of service delivery. We will be looking for people to run satellite Cornerstone offices in their local area – operating under a Cornerstone license, using our full programme of mentoring and training to support others and working closely with their local adoption team.
This truly unique opportunity is aimed at adopters who may be itching to be their own boss, work part time and who feel passionately about supporting others.
Helen Costa, Co Founder & CEO says: “This is a hugely exciting time for us as we now have concrete proof of the hugely positive impact our model can have on families. To be able to offer this service across the country and within private businesses will not only see improved parent and child relationships but also greater workforce satisfaction and wellbeing.”
